    1. Vol 1 to 15 is released by Yen Press. You can buy them in hard copy (Amazon or bookdepository) or digital (Amazon, Kobo books etc)

      Vol 16, Vol 0 and Vol 0-II are on the discord server, you can find the link to the server in FAQS page on this site. They will be removed from the discord server when Yen Press publishes them.

  4. Hello, i am a fan of HataMou, but i have a problem to extract the vol17… the password is correct but it said the archieve is corrupted. how can i solve this? pls help.

        1. 1. Make sure you are unzipping the file on PC
          2. Since it is password encrypted, use a software like 7-zip, this won’t work with winrar for the “default zip file extractor on windows”
          3. Make sure you typed in the correct password.

  6. hey. thanks for those. but it’s disappointing that i am unable to extract it. should i download the google drive file or the dropbox file? and what’s up with the password? can you plz explain? and sorry for the bad english.

    1. The google drive file and the dropbox file is the same. You can download either one, there is no difference.

      You need to enter a password to be able to extract the file. Use 7-zip to extract it, the default windows application and winrar are known to have issues with zip files which have passwords on them. The hints for the password are all in this post

    1. If you’re asking for the password hint for volume 18, if you did not read volume 17, would you know who was the one who died? Unless you go ask around on the internet or something.

      1. Oo, actually I was not able to find vol 17 so I just read a detailed summary of it, but the death was to included. I just found vol17 in your discord so I I think I will be able to get the password. How can I extract it on my phone?

I presume the chinese print for Volume 20 isn’t out yet. do you feel Covid may have had a role to play for the late publications? Or were you able to find a Chinese Copy now? In either cases, you do a wonderful job and you have my respect.

    1. The Chinese print is out in the publishing country of Taiwan, but hasn’t been shipped to my country after one month. Might be due to Covid-19 yeah. I do have the digital copy though, so I am translating it now.

  16. Hi ! I am new to reading this novel and just found this page when I was looking for spoilers for the last novel! I heard 21 is the final volume and I would finally like to read this from start to finish!

    Thank You very much for translations and hardwork. Unfortunately I am not able To solve any of your quizzes for any of the volumes. Is there away you could please send me all the novel quizz answers from start to finish? I’ve been waiting for this series to end so I can experience reading it from start to end! And then buy the series from Canada where I reside. Will you please help me with that?

    1. Thanks for your support, I don’t provide the passwords to the password hints. The only volume I have on here now is Vol 19 anyway. I don’t remember the passwords for any of the past 15 volumes I have released as a fan translation.

      Volumes 1-16 have been published by Yen Press. If you’re really interested in reading the series, please support the official releases instead. I will not be providing any volumes which have been released by Yen Press already.

      Volumes 0, 0-II, 17 and 18 are on the Hatamaou Discord Server. You can join the discord server and become a member to be able to see the #ln-updates channel where you can download them.

    1. I’m amazed that you read Hatamaou novels until vol 19 (I assume you did that else you wouldn’t even be downloading volume 20) and you still don’t know the answer?

      1. What did Suzuno give Maou as a new neighbour when she just moved in to Villa Rosa?
      2. What did Suzuno eat in volume 5 that amazed her so much?
      3. What did Chiho and the others go to eat with her to calm her down when she was so shaken in volume 18, which was also mentioned in volume 19?

      1. If this was me when I started, I defo wouldn’t have asked that. It’s been quite a while since I read any of the Hataraku novels (or any LN for that matter, my backlog’s gotten insanely high). I haven’t even started reading the recent ones. I do download them before they are deleted though. I’ll pick up the series once again when it is finished and read them in one go.

        2. That explains things. Yeah, you can always download the file first and save the password hint, then solve it when you need to. There really is no point extracting and reading them before reading the previous volume anyway.

  18. Thanks for sharing. I’ve just finished reading your translation of the volume 20. Is it me or does anyone else think that nothing in the story really progressed…? it was pretty short (just as the name “light novel” suggests) and I’ve heard the next volume will be the last one. There’s a big big … very big chance that the author is going to end it “open”.
    Assuming the next volume is the last one, the main plot might appear a little rushed and the subplot which is partly romance might be done for. There will be no closure. I hope that’s not it but we have to wait and see.

    1. The next volume is the last one. Honestly it is a bit rushed, we were expecting at least 2 more volumes, but it was suddenly announced that vol 21 is the last one. It is 479 pages long, which is 1.5 times longer than a usual volume, so hopefully that will be enough to close everything.

Hi there, I’ve been following your translations for a long time and love the style of how you write. like many others, I frequently check your page to see if you’ve uploaded the final book (21) of devil is a partimer. I’ve only just realised that the yen press version has been out for some time. Does this mean you will never translate it? I just wanted to know cause im happy to wait for your version as I’ve grown used to your style, but if you’re not then I’ll read the offical. thanks for all the work you do!

    1. Hi! Thank you for the support! As the Yen Press version is out, I will not be fan translating the volume anymore. Please support the official translations so the author gets paid royalties and the people responsible for the translations and publishing can keep their jobs.
